As a hugely successful businessman and investor, he not only believes in, but has the power of giving back to society to drive positive change.
He’s been involved with numerous charities, foundations, and organisations over the years—both locally and in India — that are focused on social justice, health, education, and economic development.
Winning the prestigious ‘Philanthropist of the Year’ award at the 2018 CEO Middle East Awards, it’s clear to see that Kabir Mulchandani, Founder and Chairman of FIVE Group, is committed to guiding his company’s philanthropic endeavours.
In fact, philanthropy is a key facet of FIVE and has been at the forefront of its business strategies. Kabir Mulchandani and his team have partnered with several organisations including The Diya Foundation, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and New Face Charitable Trust to bring about positive changes in the lives of those in need, providing over 350 life-saving heart and facial surgeries to date.
Inspired by his transformative time at Phillips Exeter Academy, Kabir regularly financially contributes to the education of international students. Young people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend Philips Exeter are supported by Kabir so they may have a similarly valuable experience as he did. Likewise, Mulchandani has led FIVE to partner with Room to Read, an international organisation empowering education and gender equality through literacy.
Within the FIVE Tribe, Mulchandani created the FIVE Cares program, extending financial coverage to support FIVE employees and immediate family members facing assistance for emergency medical procedures that would otherwise compromise their socioeconomic stability. To date, 17 employees have received full support across life saving surgeries and treatments.
